Phosphatase-catalyzed hydrolysis of DDAO phosphate yields DDAO that can be excited with the 633 nm laser with emission of ~650 nm. Although DDAO is readily excited at 633 nm with red emission of ~650 nm, DDAO phosphate has very minimal absorption at 633 nm without red emission, making DDAO phosphate one of the most sensitive NIR phosphatase sensors. |
